Description - In 1625, when Sweden was busy building an empire around the Baltic Sea, Swedish King Gustav Adolf ordered new warships. Wasa was among them. On his maiden voyage in 1628, Wasa went to sea and saluted. However, it was only after a few minutes of navigation that the ship began to heel. He straightened up slightly - and tilted again, and to everyone's horror and disbelief, the magnificent and mighty ship suddenly sank.
