The car was presented to the public for the first time during the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2003, and its serial production was carried out in the years 2003-2008 / 2009. It was located in the Wiking plant in England and the entire process was done by hand. The basic version of the car's body is a coupe, in 2007 the roadster version was presented. Regardless of the version, the body of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is made of carbon fiber with a hidden spoiler that lifts it up at a speed of around 100 km / h. With the two companies working together in Formula 1 racing, it is no surprise that the car's technology was used in the development of this car. Depending on the version, the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is powered by combustion engines with a maximum power of 626 HP to 680 HP. In the SLR Roadster, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.7 seconds, and top speed is up to 337 km / h. It is worth noting that all engines used in the SLR version meet the Euro emission standards. Unit prices of a used Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren in Poland are currently around PLN 1 million.
